About the hotel
The Devon Court is a small, host-run hotel of ten rooms on Croft Road in Torquay, on the slope above Torre Abbey Sands. It has no front desk; the owners meet guests on arrival. There is a seasonal heated outdoor pool, a lounge bar and a terrace garden, and it scores very highly with Hotels.com guests.
Rooms range from standard doubles to a sea-view suite and a one-bedroom apartment, all set up for two. Breakfast is cooked to order from a menu chosen the evening before. Minimum check-in age is 18 and there are no cots, so it suits couples rather than families.
